Seven Perish In Night Fire in Jersey City Home
In Jersey City on March 25 a three alarm blaze killed Mrs. Rose Burkhardt 54 and six others, including five children and a brother in law. John Gorman 69 and children Philip 12 Charles 15 Florence 10 Theresa 10 Veronica 1 escaped. Rose 17 was the sole survivor. Fire crews halted spread to adjacent building and a nearby garage while residents were evacuated.

Car Crashes Lunch Room in Winchester Collision
A spate of wrecks in Winchester over 24 hours damaged several cars and a restaurant but caused no serious injuries.
