Four Die In Fire Near Purcellville Early Today
Mrs. Claudia Crowder 32 of near Purcellville was hospitalized with facial burns after a house fire killed her husband Jack 35 and three children ages 12 10 and 8. The blaze started when coal oil exploded as Crowder tried to light a fire at 4 am. The surviving children ages 2 and 6 were removed from the scene as Mrs. Crowder attempted rescue. Neighbors reported efforts to move the car and flee the burning home. The family had moved to the Janney farm in January from Arkansas.
