Funeral Rites for Scott Grant Set for Tomorrow
Funeral services for Scott Grant, prominent county stockman, will be held from his sister Mrs. John Huntsberry's home tomorrow at 3 pm conducted by Rev. E A Lambert. Interment will be in Mount Hebron Cemetery with pallbearers named. Grant died at Winchester Memorial Hospital yesterday afternoon from a probable skull fracture at 63. He was a longtime county board of supervisors member for Stonewall district and was unopposed for reelection last year. Survived by two sisters and three brothers, his death creates a vacancy to be filled by appointment.

In Childress Virginia, six weeks after a mad dog bite, Virginia Mae Kirkner contracted hydrophobia. The Smith family dog, observed by neighbors, showed rabies signs and was shot.
