Seven Hurt in Sunnyside Head-On Crash Causes Major Damage
Seven people were injured and damage reached about 2000 after a head-on crash between a 1957 Chevrolet station wagon driven by James West of Ashtabula and a 1956 Buick driven by John Ewing of Toledo on Route 522 at Sunnyside. The West and Ewing families, traveling to and from Florida, were taken to Memorial Hospital in Friendship. A Seventh Day Adventist Church bus was involved but not damaged. both vehicles were a total loss. The State Police continue the investigation as rain and a wet road contributed to the collision.

Child Dies After Being Run Over By Automobile
David Kesecker 22 months old grandson of Mr and Mrs E S Nicholson of city died Wednesday afternoon at Berkeley Spring Hospital from an accident at 2 30 pm. His mother Mrs Arless Kesecker found him after the car slipped into reverse and dragged him. He died shortly after at the hospital. Survived by two sisters and a brother, parents, maternal and paternal grandparents. Funeral held at E U B Church Berkeley Springs and buried in adjoining cemetery.
