President Roosevelt warned Congress the relief situation is very serious and that without funds to run the WPA until July 1 many workers will be discharged. He cited a proposed restoration of 150.9 million of an 875 million request, noting no real improvement in unemployment.
The city reports the sanitary sewer line on North Cameron Street is finished and crews have been resurfacing the road. In February the sewer department installed 11 services renewed 1 and fixed 6 stoppages as part of routine operations.

The Wittkowitz Tron and Steel Works said its Moravska Ostrava works manager reported by telephone that German troops had marched into Prague and occupied the city.
Prime Minister Chamberlain told the House of Commons that the breaking up of Czecho Slovakia required no action from Great Britain. The statement was delivered in London on March 14.

Versailles March 14 Eugene Weidmann the confessed slayer described an initial attempt to abduct Baltimore businessman Michael Stein who escaped while en route to a suburban villa. He said he also tried to kidnap Stein before killing dancer Jean De Koven in July 1937. The court heard that Weidmann confessed to five slayings and faulted Million for a claimed sixth.
Defense minister Casado says 15 000 Communists were rounded up after a six day revolt while Republicans fear the Nationalists will target them and an unoccupied U S Embassy may aid flight preparations for an honorable peace with Franco.

An SOS from the 1673 ton Norwegian freighter Belner prompted the Italian liner Conte Di Savoia to divert and hurry to the Belner’s position about 600 to 700 miles east of Cape Henry Virginia. The Belner reported water in the radio room as heavy seas battered the ship.
Members of the Chanters Society meet at 6 30 this evening at the Presbyterian Church annex on South Loudoun street to proceed to Front Royal where they will give a concert at 8 o clock tonight.

D H Senciadiver named festival director and committees for Games, Publicity, Finance, Decorations, Entertainment and Doormen were listed. The event runs in April at Sarah Zane Hall. Plans for the Apple Blossom Festival parade were also discussed and Rev T M Swann spoke on self control.

President Hacha travels to Berlin with Chvalkovsky seeking talks with Hitler who demands four measures including disarmament and racial laws.
Superintendent Leslie D. Kline announced that Frederick County school buses are being inspected today by State Officer R. H. Lester after a start yesterday. Lester reported buses are in excellent overall condition, aligning with the county board's monthly inspection rule and noting an excellent safety record with no serious bus incidents since transportation began.
The Winchester Golf Club calls a meeting of all paid adult members at the George Washington Hotel on Friday March 17 at 8 p m to name three members to the board of governors. This follows a resolution from the preferred holders and six stockholders elected previously.
