Two 18 year olds injured as car plunges off U S Route 50
Two youths from Frederick and Clarke County, both 18, were treated and released after their 1947 Plymouth overturned and fell down a bank on U S Route 50 about six miles west of the city. State Trooper C D Taylor identified John Miller Jr of Berryville and Robert Miller of Mount Falls as the victims with $1500 in damage to the car. A second incident near Gore caused $400 in total damage with no injuries.

Ogurcak Convicted in Assault and Battery Trial
A 25 year old Lebanon Pennsylvania man Joseph Edward Ogurcak was found guilty by a Frederick County Circuit Court jury of assault and battery after deliberating over three hours. The jury reduced the original rape indictment to assault and battery and set punishment at 12 months in jail and a 499 dollar fine.
