San Francisco Street Car Victim McGarry Dies
Mrs. J D OConnell of the county learns her son in law William McGarry died in San Francisco California from a brain hemorrhage after a street car collision last October. He left a wife three sons and his mother and two sisters in London. A $15000 suit against the street car company is pending.

Drunken Driver Sentenced After Collision in Martinsburg District
Carl Swartz of West Virginia received a three month jail term and a $118 fine after operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated on the Martinsburg pike in North Winchester. His car collided with J. Swimley’s car, injuring Swimley’s wife and three children, with both vehicles sustaining heavy damage. Swartz was treated for head injuries and arrested after police found him intoxicated.

Fire destroys two barns on Ruble farm near Gainesboro
Early yesterday morning a blaze on the Dawson and Holland Ruble farm between Gainesboro and Hayfield destroyed two barns and several sheds. Chickens, hogs, wheat, hay and equipment were lost while the house was saved by the Ruble brothers and neighbors. The fire, likely incendiary, caused $4 000 to $5 000 in damage with limited insurance. The sick baby woke the mother who alerted her husband and Nelland Ruble.
