In Richmond Virginia delegates debated a bill to create a co ordinate college for women at the University of Virginia. The measure failed 46 to 48 after more than five hours of debate. Advocates vow to fight on in 1918 while opponents celebrated the victory.

Paul Wisecarver Laid To Rest In Virginia
Funeral held at the Wisecarver home in Brucetown for nine year old Paul Edward Wisecarver who died from a barn door accident at the Slonaker farm near Wadesville. Rev.
