Mother Denied Leave From Jail For Child Funeral
Harrisburg March 6 a young mother was refused permission to attend the funeral of her two year old daughter who died after alleged beatings. District Attorney Nie wand revoked an earlier order to bring Helen Wolf from jail citing no policemen to spare. The 21 year old domestic is held on accessory to murder charges. The child had been unconscious five days. In a separate jail a 22 year old man described as a bricklayer said he felt like dying after police said he confessed to beating the girl in jealousy of her father.

Toulon France March 6 Ensign Marc Aubert condemned for treason was executed by firing squad after confessing he sold French fleet movements and construction data to a foreign power. He used his lover Maria Morel to hide the correspondence. Aubert’s accomplice, the sweetheart, spent the night in prison. In Rome March 6 Antonio Scarpa a former Austrian naval officer and Italian naval employee was executed at dawn for military espionage. He was shot in the courtyard of Port Bravetta after being degraded.
