The Circuit Court discharged the Pollard case jury after they failed to reach a verdict on charges against Ralph P Pollard a game warden accused in the shooting of Clinton Winfred a colored youth on November 15. Pollard was admitted to bail of 2000 dollars and a new trial date was set for April 6.
The jury reported being hopelessly divided after deliberating since yesterday in the Pollard case. Ralph Pollard, county game warden, testified he fired to scare a fleeing youth not to hit him, with the defense claiming the youth had terrorized local households and intruded near farms.

Mrs Beverley administratrix of Capt J B Beverley appeared in Corporation Court and certified that the will was not made. She was appointed administratrix with a $20000 bond with other heirs as sureties. Captain Beverley was clerk of the Corporation Court of Winchester at his death on February 21.
