A house on the Amos Marker farm two miles south of now county was burned yesterday around ten o clock. The loss ran to several thousand dollars. Tenant Marvin Boone lived there with his wife who, warned by a passer-by, saved most contents with help from others. The farm is owned by Mrs. Marker, widow of Amos Marker, who resides in Winchester.

Fritz Luenburg, a noted stonemason, was stricken with paralysis Thursday evening at his South Loudoun Street apartment and was taken to Memorial Hospital. He is blind and speechless with the left side affected. he was partly conscious upon arrival and doctors call his condition serious. Family members have not yet been located. A book containing his autobiography and army service records was among his papers.

Car Plunged Down Bridge Bank With Four Escape

Word came of the death of Andrew Ryland at age 40 in Cumberland Maryland from pleurisy. Funeral Monday at St Patrick Catholic Church with high mass. He was well known in Winchester and left his mother four children and widow Nannie Russell Ryland. He was nephew of Michael Lillis and had worked in printing with James Lillis.
