Pekinese Fufu Rescued After 11 Days Buried by Snow
In Franklin Massachusetts a six year old Pekinese named Fufu was found alive after 11 days buried eight feet under snow stirred by a snow plow. Owner Roland Cossette, a city snow plow operator, uncovered the dog Sunday and noted chest congestion but no serious injuries. He had initially believed the dog dead after the Feb. 8 incident and a subsequent digging effort by the family. The veterinarian said the dog's body heat helped keep it warm beneath the snow.
