Donna Lynn Lockhart of Gore is chosen to represent the Gore Fire Co in the 51st Ap ple Blossom Firemen parade. The 18 year old senior at James Wood High School attends Dowell J Howard Vocational School and is a VICA Club member who enjoys swimming tennis roller skating and piano.
Lisa Kay Borror of 559 Smithfield Ave. has been chosen to represent Sarah Zane Fire Co. in the Apple Blossom Festival. The selection was announced by fire company president Charles E. Bockey Jr. and Fire Chief Edward W. Loy. Borror is Handley High School graduate and former Winchester Evening Star Calendar Girl.
Mr. and Mrs. James F. Golightly announce the engagement of their daughter Melanie Qarol Golightly to Clyde Steven Melester, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde E. Melester. Melanie is a 1976 Handley High School graduate who attended Radford College. Clyde is a 1976 graduate and is employed.
Kelly Conner, 17, daughter of Monte and Sylvia Conner, has been chosen Miss South End and will serve as Honorary Fire Chief for the List Apple Blossom Festival. She attends school and participates in clubs. the In-Town Honorary Fire Chief Contest is set for March 5 at Friendship Fire Hall.

John E. Troxel and Haig Vahan Kalbian named to the Dean's List of Distinguished Students for the fall semester 1977 at Richmond College. Troxel is son of Dr and Mrs James Troxel of Winchester. Kalbian is son of Vicken Kalbian of Winchester. Both must earn at least 3.2 GPA on 15 or more hours with limited Cs.
