Many Employers Fail To Make Report On Workers
George D. Delo, War Manpower Commission area director for northern Virginia, warns that only a small share of employers in the Front Royal Winchester area have filed declarations of highest employment for May 1944. The June 30 deadline looms for the employment ceiling order, requiring one or more workers to file declarations. Noncompliant employers face sanctions and may lose the right to hire or have workers referred by the U S Employment Service until filings are completed. Exemptions apply to agricultural workers and to employers serving state, county, municipal governments or foreign governments and subdivisions.
