Former Hampshire County Sheriff Slonaker Dead at 73
Adam C. Slonaker longtime Winchester business civic leader and former Hampshire County sheriff died at 7 am at 324 Amherst Street following months of illness. He was 73 and will be interred at Mount Hebron Cemetery after Masonic rites Monday afternoon. He served eight years as sheriff and moved to Winchester where he led Miller Supply Co. and engaged in community service with many organizations.
