Romania Builds Black Sea Resorts Amid Limited Western Tourism
Romania aims to develop its Black Sea coast to attract one million sunbathers and 100000 hotel beds. Mamaia and Eforie lead the coast with hundreds of hotels and spa facilities while 750000 foreign visitors last year came from both socialist countries and the West. Prices range from 15 to 50 dollars per day.

World War II Pilot Sought After Plane Found in Kent Field
Volunteers from the Aeronautical Museum at Brienzett near Folkestone recovered a World War II Thunderbolt in Kent County about four miles from Manston. They identified Capt. R. R. Bonebreak as the pilot and noted his parachute opened late after a crash on Sept. 3 1944. He reportedly settled in Taylor Texas and authorities seek the aircraft remains. The piece ends noting Britain’s tallest building, the Post Office Tower, at 620 feet.
