Band of American Jews Carve Desert Colony in Negev
A Miami led group of Messianic Jews has lived six years in the Negev desert near the Jordan border. Seventy percent are American or Canadian, eight children, two wives of leader Simha-Sandy-Per-Smutter. They face land and water limits, army aid, and regular travel to Eilat for supplies as they pursue a frontier settlement.
