Payroll theft hits B and C Bakery in Indian Alley
BECO Baking Company payroll money and three payroll checks were stolen from a second floor safe between 10 30 a m and 12 30 p m at the Indian Alley facility north of Boscawen Street. About 220 dollars in cash plus 3 payroll envelopes and 50 to 60 Indian head pennies were taken. The safe was locked when found and there was no sign of forced entry. Police Lt Warren Rudolph and officers are investigating with the bank having stopped the check payments.
