The body of the late C. J. J. Von Witt died Monday night at the hospital here was taken to Washington D C and cremated at Lee's undertaking establishment. Drowned Girl Hazel Miller Laid To Rest
The body of Hazel Miller a twelve year old girl from Strasburg was found in shallow water near Berry's Ferry on the Shenandoah River. She was taken to Strasburg for funeral services and burial after being found by Robert Stat and another man from Strasburg who spotted the body in a boat. The drowning occurred during an outing when her Ford car went into the river.
