The 13th annual Twenty fourth District Lions convention closed with officers elected for the coming year. W C Fitzpatrick of Farmville became district governor and H B Wade of Vinton was re elected district secretary. R B Torbertt of Bristol was chosen district treasurer. Newport News will host next year with a joint Lions meeting on the program. Master key winners Hoye L Riley of Winchester and Ellis Loveless of Norfolk were named for securing at least 12 new members in the past year.
