Frederick dispatch reports American Water Works and Electric Company Paris New York has offered to buy Potomac Public Service Company common stock at 30 a share par 50. Emory L. Coblenz Frederick Md president of the selling firm recommends acceptance with over 70 percent of stockholders already agreeing. Offer would not alter local management or board.

Dr. Floyd Swimley Dies at Forest Ohio at 51
Dr. Floyd F. Swimley, 51, half brother of Dr. A C Swimley of this city, died Saturday at his Forest Ohio home. He was a Mason and Shrine member, married to Mrs Dickerson, and survived by several relatives. He practiced medicine and surgery despite losing sight 18 years ago after an acetylene tank explosion. He trained nurses and served in civic and fraternal Ohio groups.

Captain and Marine Killed at Gettysburg Air Crash
Captain George B. Hamilton, a World War veteran and Congressional medal recipient, and Mechanician Martin were killed when their airplane crashed over the Marine encampment at Gettysburg.
