Artemus Barry Funkhouser, a retired farmer from Stephens City, Frederick County, died at 7:35 p.m. after a long illness. Born August 6, 1857 near Fawcett Gap, he lived as a farmer until retirement and was active in Trinity Lutheran Church. Survived by widow Laura V. Funkhouser, his funeral will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church at 2:30 p.m. Thursday with Rev. Snyder Alleman officiating and interment in Green Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers are F. M. Rust, J. P. Carbaugh, J. A. Hin kle, P. E. Lineburg, J. A. Bean, and Floyd Cadwallader.
