Atlanta June 24 Former deputy warden L J Fletcher and former chaplain Thomas P Hayden went on trial in the U S Court on a conspiracy charge to accept bribes from wealthy inmates and associated parties. W H Hall testified he received 2000 from inmates but could not tie Fletcher or Hayden to payments. He outlined supposed sums from Mannine Kessler Maurice Sweetwood and George Remus and claimed Fletcher was to get 4000, Hall 2000, and Hayden the rest.
