Ul, Neff escapes from lime grinding plant near Sy Friday afternoon. Guards pursue as officer reports Neff, 27, 5 7, 150 pounds, dark hair, blue eyes, hid behind rocks before slipping away toward Shenandoah County. Neff had been serving an eight year term for attempted murder and had escaped before. He was recaptured after a pursuit by guards led by Superintendent Smith.

Death of Jacob Sirbaugh of Capon Bridge West Virginia
Mr. Jacob Sirbaugh a Hampshire county resident died at his home east of Capon Bridge after several weeks illness marked by paralysis. He was about 70, twice married and survived by his wife Amanda Miller. Funeral services were held at Fairview Church conducted by Rev. Groscup of Capon Bridge. He was a longtime Methodist. Pallbearers included John Nelson, RB Wolford, 0 M Pugh, Arthur Whitacre, William Sirbaugh and Nimrod Oates.
