Courts 80 days strikes endanger health and welfare
The piece notes that long strike periods threaten rational health and welfare, while employers gain leeway to express views on unions. It argues the Wagner Act constrained bosses, and claims the act did not bar dealing with a union if any officers are communists.
Wagner act notes on unions and bosses constraints
The text states that bosses may join unions without bartering with foremen and that the Wagner act did not address this. It says unions cannot charge excessive dues and that the act set no limit. It notes that unions and bosses cannot break contracts without liability for damage suits and that the Wagner act did not cover this. It adds unions cannot commit unfair labor practices, while bosses were forbidden such practices under the act.
