First Sgt Esten Tevalt on furlough was guest of honor at a Mt Pleasant dinner hosted by Mr and Mrs John Perry. Other guests included Cadet Nurse Louise Perry Hilda Russell and several Lake Perry and Tevalt family members. Children’s Day program drew a large crowd despite a thunderstorm. Dinner guests at Perry residence included Eva Perry Betty Sue Smith Janet Kerns and Vivian Lake from Winchester. Additional visitors Pearl Cochran Carrie Boyce and Mildred Orm orff joined Perry earlier in the week.
