Officers killed at Carrizal battle in Mexico
Morning reports confirm Troop H of the Tenth Cavalry commanded by Captain Charles T Boyd engaged in the Carrizal clash in Mexico. The Mexicans numbered about 200. Boyd and Lieutenant Henry R Adair were killed. Both officers served with the Fighting Tenth at Winchester in 1913 and were popular through the camp social scene. Adair was noted as an expert rider and showed horses at the Berryville show in 1913.
