Winchester Man Killed in Crash on Rt 522 Edge
A Winchester man 24-year-old Tommy Walter Wise died after a car left Fairmont Avenue, struck a tree, and crashed into a porch on Rt 522 near the city edge. Steve Chadwell 22 was hospitalized with a broken leg and possible internal injuries. The crash also caused a power outage affecting Potomac Edison lines and the local cable TV building. Wise, a Vietnam veteran and B and M Chevrolet mechanic, is survived by his parents and two siblings. funeral services are planned.

Laird Warns On Defense Budget Needs
