Three Die in Plane Crash Near Upperville
A small plane crash near Upperville Fauquier county killed pilot John Robert Violet his wife Dor is Shrubrook Violet and their three year old daughter Patricia Marie Violet. A six month old baby survived with grandparents in Dover Del. The Violets were en route to Winchester to greet relatives at the airport. The crash occurred after the Cub coupe attempted a forced landing on P Beatty Browns farm. The lone survivor Ellen Elaine Violet remained with grandparents in Dover. The crash site investigation by State Troopers concluded no fire.
