Bullet Wound Fatal To Lyle Herrell In Winchester
Lyle Herrell, 32, a Winchester resident, died about 1 10 pm from a self-inflicted bullet wound. His body was found in a Kurtz store restroom after employees reported hearing a noise. He had been at the Kurtz Funeral Home conversing with staff hours earlier and had fallen ill years before. He left Handley High in 1922 and Shenandoah Valley Academy, later working for Herrell Sales and finally Northern Virginia Power Co. He is survived by his widow Mary Chapman, his parents, two sisters, and other relatives. funeral arrangements not completed.
