Joseph Ramsey and Miss Stella Raub wed aboard a balloon with Rev. Edgar Sherrod of Los Angeles officiating. A wireless telephone carried the vows, allowing the couple to exit the basket as Mr. and Mrs. Ramsey. The photo shows the parson using the device in his study during the ceremony.
A group of Winchester area insurance men left by train to attend the Home Life Agency Association convention in Detroit at the Hotel Statler June 21 to 23. Leaders include Henry R. Bryarly president, with R T Bryarly Robert C Green Jordan W M Roller Fred C Wright and Robert C Haff. They plan to travel Buffalo then boat across Lake Erie and expect to be away about a week.

A large aircraft rode the edge of a thunderstorm yesterday afternoon, flying from west to east at about 100 miles per hour. Observers assume it was a government mail plane delivering from New York and Washington to the western states, a common sight over the area.
