A Trailways bus en route from Los Angeles to Miami crashed three miles west of Clinton Mississippi in heavy rain. The bus with about 40 passengers collided with a car and several other vehicles, sending drivers and passengers to nearby Baptist Hospital. two critically injured were driver D W Arnold of Shreveport Louisiana and passenger Jose Campos of South America.
