Gas Company Plans Major Gas Main Extensions This Year
Officials outlined a plan to extend gas service by building two large mains from Waters and Kent to connect with the new plant and a cross town main on Gerrard street. The project aims to add two to three miles of mains and laterals this year to serve more customers, though some households may still be left unserved while extensions continue without interruption. The improvements include upgrading mains capacity from four to eight fold to meet rising demand and delivering high grade gas with enhanced production and supply facilities.
