Measuring Substances Tiny as a Millionth of a Gram
Chemists use highly sensitive balances able to weigh minuscule masses. Delicate devices can detect single particles, and apparently human fingers would interfere with such precision.
Delicate Mechanisms and Microscopes in Balance Work
Tiny portions and delicate mechanical fingers take their place. Microscopes are used in connection with these balances.
