Municipal elections in Frederick county produced new mayors in Winchester Stephens City and Middletown with Dr Charles R Anderson unopposed in Winchester defeating to- be foes and G E Lemley edging out Davis Dinges in Stephens City by four votes Middletown rejected women candidates for town council and three former members won re election while several incumbents retained seats in Winchester council and Stephens City ended with six incumbents re elected and six new or returning members.

L A Huyett Dies At Home In Frederick County
Luther A. Huyett, a leading resident of northern Frederick County, died today at his Rest area home after six months of illness. He was 80, born in 1852 in Washington County, Md, and had lived in the county 53 years. A lifelong farmer and active Democrat, he once chaired the county Democratic Executive Committee. Funeral arrangements to be announced tomorrow.
