Red Cross Overseas Worker Relates South Pacific Service
Isobel Lee, a Red Cross overseas worker, spoke to Clarke County Red Cross Motor Corps about her eighteen months in New Caledonia guiding a new service club, building facilities, and organizing Christmas events for GIs and sailors. She described travel on a neutral ship, wartime secrecy, and daily bandage rolling with the local staff and volunteers.
