A clinic study divides arthritis into three forms: infectious rheumatoid arthritis affecting multiple joints with symmetry, seen in underweight young patients. degenerative arthritis in middle aged overweight individuals with limited, non symmetric joint involvement. and gouty arthritis in well to overweight middle aged patients with deposits in toes elbows or hands. Treatments include diet adjustments, rest with splinting, controlled movement, heat therapy, and in some cases weight management.
