Oceanside Picnic Turns To Terror And Tragedy
A sunny beach gathering in Kalaloch Washington turned deadly as a slack tide drew seventh and eighth graders into the surf. Two youths Teresa Case and Donald Hale were listed missing while three students suffered hypothermia and a fourth a toe injury. Coast Guard crews searched until dark and several youngsters were hospitalized before being released.
