Victor Kugler Receives Jewish Institute Award for Helping Anne Frank
Victor Kugler, who hid Anne Frank and family in Amsterdam, was honored with a $10,000 prize by the Hebrew Union College Jewish Institute of Religion. He recalled Anne as a vivid girl and said his actions were to keep friends safe, not for recognition, noting the betrayal led to the family’s capture.
