Orthodontist in Wheelchair Opens Practice After Survival
Dr Dean Baesel 28 of Overland Park Kansas earned a two year orthodontics residency at UMKC and will open in Wichita in July despite being paralyzed from the chest down after a 1975 liquor-store holdup. He ordered hand controlled equipment and will rely on a full time assistant. Funding helped by community drives and Rinehart Foundation.
