Handley High to Hold 94-Graduate Ceremony
Handley High School will graduate 94 students this year the second largest class since the Handley Foundation. The commencement sermon will be Sunday June 10 at 8:00 p.m. in the school auditorium delivered by Rev Lloyd Courtney of Lewisburg West Virginia. The service is run by the local Ministerial Association with a full program of hymns readings and an introduction of the speaker. Additional events include a junior senior reception June 11 and a final senior banquet and dance June 12 followed by class day exercises June 13 at 3 p.m.

Grimm Family Faces Police in City Court Fare
Judge Donald L. Weems held a police court session as Grimm family members Charles Ralph and Mary Grimm faced charges of drunkenness disorderly conduct and resisting arrest after a disturbance at their East Pall Mall street home. Police officers called to the scene reported a crowded, noisy confrontation with vituperations heard blocks away. The three Grimms were fined $10.25 each along with additional fines for others including Carl Dunlap and Robert Carter. Ed Riffle received $35.25 and one month in jail for illegal liquor possession. P. J. Sullivan of Harrisburg was arrested and held for investigation.

Two Youths Guilty Of Unlawful Entry In Seed Company Storeroom
Woodrow Milburn and William Woolingham were found guilty in Corpora tion Court of feloniously breaking and entering the Winchester Seed Company storeroom at night and stealing $3.58 in goods. Judge Philip Williams sentenced them to 12 months in jail with suspension after 10 days, conditioned on reporting to court for a year and obeying laws. They have been confined since May. This afternoon at 2, a civil case Huff versus Texas Oil Company was heard.

Bandit Gang Member Caught After Flight in Indiana
One of three youths involved in a southern Indiana escape was captured in Salem after abducting 18 year old Ralph Shields and forcing him to drive. Deputies pursued the robbers who had slain a deputy sheriff Harold Amick and wounded policeman John Pfaffenberger. Bloodhounds searched the Hill country as two killers remained at large in the Underwood area. Pfaffenberger was hospitalized in Scottsburg with a good prognosis.
