Peasants fall as Dak To drive piles up three weeks

South Vietnamese and American forces report 945 North Vietnamese killed in three weeks around Dak To in the Central Highlands. Casualties include 455 South Vietnamese and 32 Americans wounded, with 157 government troops dead and 13 Americans killed. American air power and B52 bombers accounted for about half the enemy fatalities as the operation Peoples Rights tests stepped withdrawal plans.
