Two trucks carrying 67 Civilian Conservation Corps members from Camp Roosevelt were detained in Harrisonburg for 1 hour 40 minutes until the drivers obtained school bus licenses. In Miami Florida on June 3 the bodies of two Woodstock Virginia women were identified as Lilian Howard 35 and Meyer Shapiro 40. Dental bridgework oil cloth and bound cord helped confirm the matches via telephoned verification from Woodstock. A Beach Hotel porter noted oil cloth on the bodies matched cloth used on their baggage when they left May 14 for Woodstock after a winter vacation they never reached.
