The Garden Club of Winchester and Clarke County opened a spring flower show in the George Washington Hotel dining room at 3 PM. Fifteen Injured in Laundry Clash at Little Falls

Fifteen people were injured when police clashed with several hundred pickets at the Little Falls Laundry Company. Tear gas and police batons drove the crowd back after an hour and a half of fighting as workers faced entry attempts during a strike-affected closure. New York June 2 Jerome Herman Dizzy Dean right handed star of the St Louis Cardinals was suspended indefinitely by Ford Frick president of the National League for conduct detrimental to baseball. Frick gave no length for the suspension and did not elaborate. Dean had been at the center of several disturbances since spring training including a fight in New York after a game with Carl Hubbell.
