Seven Judges Named For Model Airplane Show Here Sunday
The Winchester Exchange Club sponsors the 7th Annual Model Airplane Show at Winchester Airport Sunday starting 1 pm. Judge panel includes Squires Comer Kerkstien Creathouse Cramer Rogers Whitmore with Ritch directing. Twenty four trophies planned and 150 glider drops for kids from Hockman and Ritch. Admission is free with refreshments and airplane rides available.

Two Are Killed In Head-on Crash North of Here
A head-on collision north of Berkeley Springs West Virginia killed four people two sisters Loretta and Hana Prindible of Evansburg Pennsylvania and two from Windsor Ontario Joseph and wife missing. The Prindible car veered across the road and struck the Koessl car from Windsor. Loretta Prindible was driving and a witness said she appeared to have fallen asleep. The Koessl couple 51 were hospitalized in critical condition with chest injuries and a fractured skull respectively.

A funeral service for Paul Koenig Sr. who died Sunday at his home near Stephens City will be held tomorrow at 9 a m at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church with Father Robert O Hickman officiating. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Pallbearers are Joseph Sarandria Joseph Emmerth Clarence Stelvy Raymond Stelvy Fred Sturm and Anthony Jagiello. The body rests at Omps Funeral Home with Rosary at 8 o'clock this evening.

First lighthouse in America Boston Light established
The Boston Lighthouse on Little Brewster Island in Boston Harbor became the first lighthouse in America. It was lit on September 14, 1716 and funded by a one penny per ton tax on vessels entering or leaving Boston Harbor to support maintenance.
