Solenberger Dies After Brief Illness At Shawnee Farm

Olof Farstad the Norwegian policeman swimmer started at Cape Griz Nez to swim the English Channel to Dover at 10 am yesterday and quit at 3 am today. He had eight miles covered in eight hours and was moving slowly though known for endurance. Farstad trained in Oslo Fjord and set a summer record of 18 hours continuous swimming against currents.
