Tim Dunleavy Redefines Little Girls Fashion In New York
Timothy Dunleavy, 24, Charleston native, designs urban sophisticated children’s wear not scaled-down grown-up styles. His fabrics range from striped cottons to Harris tweeds and silks, with dresses selling for 40 to 50 dollars and coats around 130. He cites early work for Cabin Creek Quilts and orders from Bergdorf Goodman and Bonwit Teller, with Bloomingdale’s featuring his lines and planning a boutique. He now offers sizes 2 through 14 and envisions growth into youth fashion by the 1980s.
