Berryville Man Killed by Car. Driver Cleared in Inquest

Robert Burner, 27, of near Berryville, was struck and killed about 8 30 by a car driven by Julian C. Garrison of Washington DC on Route 7 near Oak Grove Station. Garrison was charged with involuntary manslaughter but the case was dismissed. coroner Frank E. Tappan ruled instantaneous death. Burner was son of Mr and Mrs John Burner of Berryville and Jefferson County West Virginia, survived by eight siblings. Funeral arrangements pending at John H. Enders Funeral Home in Berryville.
