Two Sought For Brutal Attacks in Hanover
Howard county police pursued two men accused by two elderly sisters of being clubbed as they walked home from a grocery store. Agnes Laffy 51 and Stella Laffy were found by neighbors in woods about an hour later and rushed to St. Agnes Hospital. Agnes was released after first aid. Stella remained with a possible skull fracture and both had blackened eyes. Police say the motive may be a grudge and the assailants did not steal the money the sisters carried.
