Four Yachtists Rescued After Nine Days Afloat
Four sun burned yachtsmen are rescued from a tiny life raft after nine days afloat in the Atlantic. They left Saybrook July 11 aboard the Gooney Bird bound for Bermuda, which was to end July 17. A Navy patrol plane spotted them 420 miles east of Cape Henry, and the Maiden picked them up in good health except for sunburn and minor sores.
